I am a parent of a student that attends Hurden-Looker School in Hillside. I am outraged at the fact that the Superintendent, Dr. Raymond Bandlow fired the principal, Ms. Baskerville, on Tuesday, April 26, knowing that the kids have been preparing to take the state ESPA test next week.

How could they have our childrens' best interest at heart? What on earth could she have done to justify this at such a critical time for our children? The actions of the board are unthinkable!

Mrs. Charlene Baskerville is an excellent Principal. Some members of the BOE have been harassing her for the past few years. She has been in the district for two years and each year they have tried to get rid of her with no valid explanation. Even teachers thought what the board had tried to do was unjustified.

Superintendent Bandlow stated that he doesn't have to explain anything to us parents. How could he have our children best interest at heart? The teachers, students and parents are very upset. One of the parents that I spoke with stated that her child came home crying.

It is imperative that someone take a look at this situation. It has gotten very bad. I, along with the PTA, am looking for help to have someone of higher authority step in and investigate.
