YOUR Opinion: Liberty Pocket Park a Waste
A Reader responds to "Dedicate New Park to Vets":
A park on the corner of Liberty and Long is a tremendous waste of money in a town struggling in debt and in need of ratables.
It will require new employees just to maintain the garbage generated by
Popeyes alone.
Development of the corner is the only sensible solution. A combination of all property on that corner, especially in a UEZ would earn a tremendous amount of money.
If Hillside were business-friendly, it would be quick to remove the tanks buried on the site and court a major company. Every taxpayer would gain a break if this were to happen unless, of course, the new-found revenue
does not get wasted.
