Hillside Resident Returns from Iraq On September 13, the Beirao Family will be celebrating the return of Hillside's Sgt. Carlos Beirao from his military service in Iraq, the Luso-Americano is reporting. Beirao, a navy reservist, was dispatched to the Iraqi war earlier this year. President Bush called an end to major fighting on March 20. Beirao works for the Essex County Sheriff's Department.
