20th District - Elizabeth, Kenilworth, Roselle and Union Township

It's sad, but will it be true?

Will Democrats, once again, throw their support to Senator Raymond Lesniak, better known for dubious dealing, and backroom handshakes?

The DISPATCH feels that it is time Union County show some self-respect and put Lesniak where he belongs: out of political office and onto the US Attorney's to-do list.

Lesniak does not represent Hillside's district, but the DISPATCH urges our readers in the 20th district to elect Stanly Moskal for Democratic state Senator, and Jim Ford and Bob Jaspan for Democratic state Assemblymen.


21st District - Berkeley Heights, Cranford, Garwood, Mountainside, New Providence, Roselle Park, Springfield, Summit and Westfield

The Union County Democratic Machine is angry that Ellen Steinberg is running for Assembly.

The utter audacity of the woman to run without permission! Who does she think she is - Maryann Connelly?

The party leadership is furious that Steinberg is challenging their ticket, the press reports.

And for that reason, the DISPATCH wishes Ellen Steinberg well in her bid to obtain the Party's nomination for state Assembly in the 21st District.
