High-Speed Chase Ends in Hillside
A couple led police from Mountainside, Union, and Hillside on a high-speed chase, ending in a fiery crash on Route 22 in Hillside.
The chase began in Mountainside. The male driver and female passenger, who both possessed heroine, began eluding police on the Mountainside stretch of Route 22.
Dodging through traffic and ramming into innocent drivers that got in the way, the perps led police on until rolling over and crashing to a stop in Hillside.
Both were treated at a nearby hospital and charged with second degree alluding of a police officer, aggravated assault, possession and possession with intent to distribute heroin, according to the Echo Leader.
